Mayuri revisits traditional kathak for the on-stage musical avatar of the 1960’s classic film – Mughal-e-Azam. And has been voted the Best Choreographer on Broadwayworld.com for this musical – the first time that Broadway World nominated a musical from regional countries!

Concept

Beautiful and skilful dance sequences stay true to the narrative of Anarkali and Saleem, their love, their defiance of the societal rules, and the fury of Emperor Akbar. The longest running musical in Indian history, with more than 100 sold-out shows, Mughal-E-Azam The Musical retains the grandeur and charisma of the movie, and the audience is left nostalgic.
