Mayuri is one of the 4 Chief Programme Designers for Sublime’s Teaching for Artistic Innovation (TFAI) – a programme which undertakes to enhance and change life skills of children by incorporating teaching methodologies inspired and influenced by arts (dance, music, theatre and visual arts), as part of their curriculum. TFAI aims to work with the formal educational framework of India, and uses digital mediums to disseminate the TFAI curriculum across the education network in the country.
Mayuri designs the curriculum for the dance vertical of the programme, keeping in mind Indian conditions and Indian body. The programme is designed to demonstrate how powerful dance can be in shaping and elevating the physical, mental and emotional development of a child when incorporated in mainstream education.
An amalgamation of varied teaching methodologies, TFAI Dance serves as a resource for teachers, throughout the Indian educational system, to use dance as a tool to encourage exploration, experimentation, creativity and risk taking in children.
